Kally Needs a Home

Kally is patiently waiting for a home. We have had her since she was a small kitten, but her lucky day hasn't come around yet. She has unique markings and is quite the elegant girl. She loves head scratches and cuddles, but her favorite is when she is pampered with a hair brushing session. Please help us find her a home. She may not be a tiny kitten anymore, but she is most certainly a wonderful forever friend. Message us at brendab@thecatpeople.org if you are interested in adoption.

Cats Love National Dog Day

We participated in National Dog Day last week by asking our fans to send in pictures of their cats with their favorite K-9 pals. We got some awesome pictures from everyone! Check them out!

Featured on HeroCat Site!

We have been asked to be regular contributors to Tara the Hero Cat's online magazine in an effort to raise awareness about the suffering of abandoned cats. We are so thankful for the opportunity to spread the word about our cause and to hopefully educate the public about cat rescue. Check out our first article "Advocacy for Cats" and the other Hero Blurbs from people in the cat community.

Adoptions Needed

The past couple months have been pretty rough. We have had some amazing adoptions to wonderful families, but our overall adoption numbers have been very low. We have many kittens in foster care who are getting older as they patiently wait for homes, preventing us from taking any new cats or kittens in. We simply do not have the space. The longer we have cats and kittens in foster care, the more care expenses we incur. People are also less interested in adopting kittens as they grow older. We need your help. Please spread the word about our rescue, and encourage people to consider adopting from The Cat People. If you are looking to adopt a kitten, please think about adopting an older one. They are a better bet since we can tell you more about their personalities as we have watched them grow up. They are all so desperate to find homes and their forever families.

Emergency at Adoptions

We are at Petco with all of our adoptable angels, and a Good Samaritan brought in a kitten who is near death. He Is covered in fleas, emaciated, and very out of it. We immediately got to work and got the fleas off of him, got him fluids and food. We are working hard to save him! We named him Emerald. Send healing energy his way!
