Tell us your cat's/kitten's story:: Meet Figaro — A Sweet, Spirited Young Cat Looking for the Right Home.
Figaro is just over a year old and has been part of our family since she was a newborn kitten — before her eyes were even open. She was rescued from a Costco parking lot and lovingly bottle-fed and raised in our home. What started as a foster quickly turned into love, and she has been deeply cared for every day since.
She is a beautiful, affectionate, and calm indoor cat who enjoys lounging, window watching, and bonding closely with the people she trusts. She has never been outside, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has been raised with care and consistency since babyhood.
As much as we love her, we’ve come to the heartbreaking realization that our home is not the right fit for her. We have four young children (including a crawling baby) and three dogs. While Figaro is not aggressive and does well with dogs, she can become overstimulated around small children and may swat during playful moments. Recently, as our baby began crawling, we’ve had to prioritize safety for everyone involved.
This is not her fault. Figaro would truly thrive in:
A home without young children
An adult-only household or one with older, cat-savvy teens
A calm environment where her boundaries are respected
Someone who understands playful overstimulation in young cats
She is a wonderful cat in the right setting — loving, entertaining, and full of personality. We want nothing more than to see her in a home where she feels relaxed, understood, and cherished the way she has been with us. If the right adopter is open to it, we would love to stay in touch or visit occasionally, as letting her go is incredibly difficult and comes from love, not lack of it.
If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited young cat and have a calm, child-free home, Figaro could be your perfect companion.
